The Calgary stampede

What an absolutely amazing and exhausting day. Started with a free pancake breakfast which was part of the "stamp out hunger fundraiser". Ross took inspiration from his cousin, Lauren in SA who he had seen on Facebook dancing in the street with her hat on the floor. Ross took off his Stetson and did a mime dance and after about 3 looong minutes, 2 girls dropped a dollar coin in his hat. He was over the moon and promptly donated it to the hunger cause. Never in a million years would I have had the gumption to dance in the street.

Then off to the Stampede grounds which are huge and was like going to the Royal agricultural show as kids. A great carnival atmosphere with prize animals on show. Ross got to grips with determining if a cow was pregnant!

Saw the most incredible cowboys at the rodeo, just fascinating to see it in real life after seeing it in movies.

Brilliant atmosphere with everyone in such good spirits and dressed in their cowboy gear.

Trevor saw his dream car, a Chev comara. A bit on the bright side but I think he would look seriously cool behind the wheel.

Finished the day at the super dog show, I think Ross now has some ideas of tricks to teach jack.
