Lake Louise and the blue lakes

Another stunning if exhausting day. I convinced the boys that we should do a small walk and we left Banff for lake Louise.

Just the most beautiful blue water, almost like a cloudy pale blue milky appearance. We did the walk to Lake Agnes, which is reached by a 6.8 km walk during which time you ascend 400m. Ross and I held hands on the way up, I.e. I dragged him up!

The view at the top is breathtaking and best of all there is a tea shop. $7 for a cup of tea but so worth the effort.

Ross found some snow and had fun with some boys he met up with.

Well down the hill was another story with Rossie dragging me down the mountain. We drove to Moraine lake and picked by the shore, what a backdrop!

Saw a grizzly bear, were in the car and he disappeared before I could reach the camera.
Then drove to The Crossing, where we are staying the night, nestled in the mountains and whilst I am writing this we are sitting on the 'stoep' having a drink in the afternoon sun.

Just before we arrived we did another quick uphill to Lake Peytoe which was breathtaking with the glaciers in the background.

No Internet or mobile service here so will send this from jasper tomorrow.
