We were summoned to the table outside that had been set for breakfast. The meal was hard boiled egg, cheese toast and we each had signature homemade fresh fruit smoothies.
Trevor and I got the banana, apricot, 5 strawberry and slice of pawpaw version. I have come to realise again that one should not automatically assume knowledge in a 9 year old. He had called up to the bedroom to ask if he could put pawpaw in the smoothies. I replied 'yes, but you need to scrape out the pips first'.
So the recipe went :
peeled banana
Strawberry with leaf cut off
Apricot with stone out
Pawpaw without pips but including the skin
Needless to say, we finally realised what the more pithy bits of the smoothies were and we will no doubt discover any side effects of eating liquidised pawpaw peel.
Just a few pics of the interesting style of the house here, very colonial with lovely verandahs, like some of the Glenwood houses in South Africa.

The last one may require a bit of work!
