local Naramata fair in the morning and Ross swam out to the pontoon with Ben. A quick sandwich lunch at home and then down to the beach on the farm to enjoy an afternoon of relaxing in the sun. I took my new Cath Kidston costume for it's first outing in the cold but refreshing lake water and we both survived.
Bud cooked up a storm with one of the sides of a chinook salmon which we caught, a delicious mixture of sun dried tomatoes, Mayo and parsley.
Polly and I had our last "welcome to Canada toast" much to the exasperation of all the children (who had already heard it 20 times this holiday).
While all the boys cleared the table Polly and I took some time out to watch the sun set and hummingbirds whilst we chatted on the hammock made for 2, until our peace was rudely interrupted by a bottom tickle.
Ross over the moon as after much hinting, Emily sat and wove him a thread bracelet, he was so chuffed as Em had made them for her brothers and now he was part of the gang.
A late night as we were all catching up on the last of our news and then up and packed to hit the road back to Vancouver. A very sad farewell to the Hindson family with so many thanks for their hospitality.
Took the Connector to Merritt,
then the Cocohalla highway through to Hope then Vancouver. No prizes for guessing where lunch was.
We we staying at the Fairmont above the airport. What a fab location, check out the view from the window.
Amazing bathroom and you can draw the shutters and see the aeroplanes.
Early to bed as needed to be up at 4am to catch our flight to Las Vegas but at least we just had to go downstairs to check in.
