Kennedy Space Centre

Picked up another American beast of a car and headed to spend the day at Kennedy Space Centre, about 45 mins east of Orlando.

Excellent visit, we went on the bus tour which takes you to the launch sights of the shuttle and Apollo missions.

They have a site that tells the US space journey and chronicles how they got to the moon, the human sacrifice and race against the Russians. Then got to see inside the Explorer shuttle

and amazing how confined their living quarters were. Ross decided that with our awful experience at the Epcot mission space ride, if he ever went to space, I would have to come with him to hold his hand. He will be earth bound then.
There were these girls walking around dressed as Star Trek crew, one even had the pointy ears and were very happy to pose with an embarrassed Ross.

We left after lunch and drove 3.5 hours south to Miami where we are staying with my Aunt Lindy and her husband Bill.
