So we chose Hollywood studios, followed by Magic Kingdom with Epcot on the last day. We had not counted on the terrible downpours. The hotel we were staying in was the Disney dolphin resort which was a short boat ride away and we soon entering the park with a real bubble of excitement. We stared at the Star Tours ride which Ross enjoyed so much we did it 3 times. It is a simulator and each time you do the ride it involves a different story.
Indiana Jones special effects show was excellent, well worth the 45 minute queue.
The humidity was extreme and we succumbed to a combo fan spray which had an instant cooling effect.
Ross opted out of the Hollywood mansion ride which included a 13 storey drop in a lift but decided we would get their fast pass tickets for rock n roller coaster. As these were only for late in the afternoon, we went back to the hotel to an air-conditioned 2 hour nap.
Then we were ready to hit the park again, which was open until midnight!!!
Raced back for the roller coaster which was rather fearsome, Ross took one look at the pale faces of those coming off and at the speed with which the carts hurtled off and decided we did not need to do it. Thanks goodness, is all I can say.
After an average buffet dinner costing and exorbitant $140 and a few more rides, by 9pm, wearing our dripping raincoats we decided that it was enough and time to get the little boat back to the hotel.
